What To Do If Your Bat Grip Needs To Be Replaced

What To Do If Your Bat Grip Needs To Be Replaced

If you’re taking a lot of BP, you’re doing a lot of batting practice in the cages, chances are eventually you’re going to need a new grip, and it could be a situation to where you may not even realize that you need a new bat grip because you’re hitting so much and you’re used to it already.

So, what I would probably do is check out your bat grip, see what kind of shape your grip is in, and if you do decide you need a new grip, I would encourage you to check out these grips from Lizard Skins.

Now, if you’re not familiar with Lizard Skins grips yet, just turn on any MLB game, check out your pro players – Hunter Pence, David Wright, David Ortiz, Amber Patten, the list goes on and on.

A lot more pro players are starting to gravitate toward these, and a lot of the lower level players as well, your little league, high school, college, fast pitch, slow pitch. And aside from the fact that the pro players are endorsing these, they really do live up to their name in performance.

These grips are designed with what’s called DuraSoft Polymer, or a DSP for short, and it’s a truly innovative design, because it combines just the right amount of softness and tackiness that you need in a grip, and that’s going to do two things for you.

The first being is that it makes the grip suitable for all weather conditions. Other grips may get slick and slippery with moisture, but this grip is designed with what they like to call a strategic grip pattern, and that’s basically your grip with all these little tiny holes in it, and that’s how you’re going to be able to tell that it’s a Lizard Skins grip.

And the second point being that because you have more of an efficient grip, it’s going to allow you to hold the bat looser in your fingers, which is going to reduce stress on the hands and give to you more of a tension-free swing.

Aside from performance, Lizard Skins also scores an A+ in the looks department. They’ve obviously got their camo colors. They’re expected to have more in the future. And they also have your stock solid colors: pink, lime green, your stock black and white, yellow, purple, orange, you name it, they’ve got it. And they have also got a two tone version.

Another thing that I wanted to point out about these grips is once you start using it and it starts getting dirty, don’t take it off your bat. Just get some isopropyl alcohol or some regular rubbing alcohol and a rag, and just wipe down your handle and it should get its tack right back. That’s a really awesome selling point that I like to tell people about these grips.

When you go to take it out of your package, you’re going to find that it has a card here. This is going to have your instructions on how to wrap your bat. If you haven’t wrapped a bat before, believe me, it’s not hard at all, just follow the instructions. It should take you through it step-by-step with no problems at all.

Aside from that, you also get a nice piece of finishing tape to put on the end that’ll just wrap around and it’ll keep it nice and clean looking for you. As always, feel free to come in to the store or check us out online at cleatssports.com. Your game starts here.
