Congratulations to Cress for being Named to Academic All-America® Team

Cleats Sports is family owned and operated and we are excited to share that one of our own has some very exciting news.  We couldn’t be more proud of Coby Cress for being named to the Academic All-America® Team.

Ron Smith of Westmont College shared an article about Cress Named to Academic All-America® Team and wrote the following:

Westmont’s Coby Cress of Waddell, Arizona has been named to the 2011 Capital One Academic All-America® Baseball Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Cress, who will return for his senior season next year, played outfield for the Warriors the last to years.

 In 2011, Cress posted a .335 batting average and drove in 21 RBIs. The right-hander notched 18 multi-hit games while creating a .422 slugging percentage and a .401 on base percentage. Against Azusa Pacific, Cress drove a walk-off triple into center field in the thirteenth inning to secure a 5-4 win for the Warriors.
